Linked 52 | Week 9 - Spirit

The theme this week was Spirit - another hard one for me.  If I've learned anything from this photography challenge it's that I'm a very literal person.  I tend to look for a straight forward interpretation of the theme.  That's not always easy.  I need to challenge myself to think outside the box and try to tell a story with my pictures.  That's one main reason I joined this group.  I'm not a creative person by any means, but this challenge is helping me spread my wings a little bit.

I like this time of year when the trees start to bloom (although my allergies would disagree with me.)  I don't even know their official names, but two of my favorite trees to admire during this time is one with puffy, white blossoms and the other with pink blossoms.  It just so happens that one of these "pink" trees is in our backyard and in direct view from my kitchen window.

Since I spend so much of my existence in our kitchen, I look out the window at this tree A LOT.  I've watched recently as the pink blossoms have appeared little by little every day.  Pretty soon the entire tree will be covered with them.

As I open up the blinds of my kitchen window each morning, I'm greeted by this "pink" tree and it makes me happy. It's a physical reminder of renewal and change.  It inspires me.  It definitely lifts my spirits every time I look at it.  Another example of how spiritual nature can be.

Pretty pink blossoms and blue sky. I like your interpretation. I tend to take the words quite literally and then have no idea how to interpret it (thus no post this week.) You did a great job thinking outside the box. :)

That third picture down is so BEAUTIFUL. We have no blooms here yet. Your post makes me ache for spring. :)

Beautiful photos and I love the last one especially. :) Seeing the trees pop with blooms is definitely a spiritual reminder me that new life and spring always follow winter. I'd be checking that tree everyday too!

The blossoms against the blue sky are beautiful. I love the pink puffy trees too, I think they are one of my favorites in this town.
