Linked 52 | Week 4 - Winter/Summer

****Oops, I was going by the wrong Linked list.  See above for the actual theme
this week.  Consider this a bonus :)******

Living in the desert, there is no such thing as four seasons.  We don't have Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall.  Here, we have Summer from about mid April (when the temperatures are steadily in the 80's and rising) until first of November when it decides to start to cool off.  After that, we experience about four months of a Fall/Spring season mixed together.  Sometime in there Winter will show up for about 5.2 seconds, but then it leaves again.  Much is the case this year.  We had some cold days in December when you could get away with wearing a sweater and turning on the fireplace.  Then January came and it's been in the mid 60's and creeping towards 70 almost every day.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the mild weather.  But it would be nice to get more use out of my winter wardrobe and feel cold enough to drink hot chocolate without sweating to death!

But I digress.....

That being said, I really struggled with the theme this week of Winter/Summer.  I racked my brain trying to come up with something.  Some twist on the theme, some artistic take on the subject.  Well, I got nothing.  But what did come to mind was a place that I've always experienced seasons - my parent's house in Utah. I remembered some photos I have taken in the last year that show both seasons.  While I wanted to take new pictures each week for this project, I decided to give myself a break and share what winter and summer look like at my parents' house.  These are shots taken of roughly the same spot at three different times during the year.

I love the change of seasons and your photos capture them perfectly.
My daughter is living in Arizona, and having lived in Minnesota all her life, her biggest complaint is the lack of season change.
