December Daily - Day 5

My loyal follower and top commenter Lindsay (Thanks for the love Linz!!) suggested I blog about something funny my kids say.  My kids are generally pretty funny - I think they get their sense of humor from their mother.

So this is for you Lindsay.....

For FHE tonight we watched the new videos on LDS.org about the birth of Christ.  We watched a couple and ended with the one of the three Wise Men.  When the video ended, Andrew asked the kids what gifts they presented.  Zach started off by saying, "Gold, rice..."  Andrew and I busted out in laughter and Zach said, "well, the white stuff in the second container looked like rice!"  Taylor jokingly chimed in and said, WHEAT!!"  The laughing continued when Mason added that it would have been nice if the three Wise Men would've brought Taco Bell.

Trying to get back on the subject, I prompted the kids and said slowly, "They brought gold, frankincense, and.....myrrh..." to which Zach shouted out, "Merchandise!!!"

Another successful FHE lesson in the books for the Dixon family.
