It doesn't sound like a lot, but when items disappear so often in the space of a few days it becomes annoying. In the past my quick resolution to this problem was a simple bribe. I would tell the kids that if they could find said item I was looking for, they would get a dollar. It definitely works plus I don't waste time sticking my hand down couch crevices or crawling around looking under furniture. However my plan didn't work so well this time. We have looked several times with no luck - it's like these things have vanished into thin air.
This happened a few weeks back with Mason's church shoes. We looked and looked for them and couldn't find them. My boys only have one pair of church shoes so Mason went to church that day in camouflage print slip-on sneakers (It was a nice look.) We searched again after church and found one shoe but not the other. Later that week I bought him a new pair of shoes and wouldn't you know it - the old pair of shoes turned up.
So I wonder.........if I buy replacements, will the missing items magically show up? Knowing my luck, the answer is probably yes. But I guess that can't be all bad, right? At least we would have a spare remote, an extra calculator, and what girl doesn't love another pair of shoes??
But for now the offer still stands - a dollar to anyone who can find this missing stuff!!

We have that problem too. SO annoying! And yes, the moment we go buy a replacement they show up!
I'll do almost anything for a whole dollar I will be right over:)
Saturday we couldn't find a soccer jersery. I had to call the whole team and tell them to wear the other color. Luckily, they could all find their jerserys. Where does this stuff go?!
