The highlight of all of this though had to be something I found that I wasn't even looking for. Later on that evening while the older two kids were at piano lessons, I made a quick trip to the library to return some stuff. Since my kiddos like to check out like 25 or 30 things at a time, I threw all the books and videos in a bag to make it easier to carry them. The little boys and I returned everything and I let them check out a few more things. I opened up my bag to put in our newly checked out items when lo and behold there sitting in the bottom of the bag was Zach's iPod! I couldn't believe it -- let me tell you the story behind it:
Zach's iPod has been missing since our Disneyland trip in April. Somewhere between the hotel room, our luggage and Andrew's truck, his iPod came up missing. We searched and searched for it with no success and finally gave up hope of finding it. I searched through every bag several times and even called the hotel to see if they found it. Zach was so upset that it was gone and we resigned ourselves to the fact that it was gone for good.
On a day of unbelievable finds, I was shocked that his iPod just turned up at the bottom of a bag that I have used several times since that Disneyland trip and never came across it. Isn't that the craziest thing? When I picked up the kids from piano and surprised Zachary with his long lost iPod, he went nuts. He couldn't stop saying thank you.
Oh, and that knob?? It finally turned up too. I found it this past Sunday night under a chair in the front room. So I am happy that I successfully found everything I was looking for and didn't have to buy any replacements.
Does this mean I can pay myself the finder's fee?

No. Love, Andrew.
Yes. Yes you can.
Yea for a happy ending! =D
Let me see if I can translate for Andrew correctly :
"Wow, hon. That is amazing! I'm so glad you found all those treasures so we don't have to replace them! You are such a wonderful woman, and I am so happy that you are mine!"
I think that is what he meant :)
Erin--you clearly do not speak Andrewese. --Andrew
Things seem to show up sooner than later but usually later than sooner! I have a hutch in my dining room that has sat empty since we moved(8 months ago)because I couldn't find the glass shelves that went in it. I felt like I been been through every box a million times and that I was loosing my mind. Then I decided to look through some picture frames that I had piled up and guess what was under all of them. YUP! The darn glass shelves!! Looks like I will be organizing come the new year! lots of love, Camille
Ha! That is absolutely true.
