Still Here.......

I'm sure everyone has given up on our family blog by now, but we are still here just chugging along. I didn't mean to neglect it this long, but life got in the way and I haven't had much time to sit at our computer. I strive to be better. Here's what we've been up to since my last post ---

We spent a week in Utah for one last summer trip before school started. While in Utah we:

Attended Grandma Welling's 90th Birthday Party

The kids participated in the Country Fair Days Parade with Grandpa Watts and had a blast throwing candy at all the people

And spent a day at Hogle Zoo
Once home from our trip, we wrapped up the final days of summer with school shopping, doctor visits and haircuts to get ready for school. We also celebrated Mason's birthday. He turned the big 4 this year. I can't believe he is that old already!
Our first day of school was August 24th. Zachary is in 3rd grade and Taylor is a big 5th grader now. They both love their teachers and our school year is off to a great start.

Mason started preschool on September 1st. He loves his school and his new teacher Mrs. Smoot, even though he told her preschool was boring because they don't get to run around! It blows my mind he will be heading off to Kindergarten next year!

This was the "I don't want my picture taken" face
Due to a bad case of strep throat, we had to hold off on Mason's birthday party a few days. Once he felt better we had a fun party for him at the YMCA with his friends - they had a blast and those 9 four year olds were full of energy!!!

So that about sums it up for us. Life is hectic, but I promise to be a better blogger. That's all for now...............

That is the cleanest tractor I've ever seen. Tell Grandpa to go visit some cows where the cows live and introduce the tractor to the cow leavings, and then he can pull the float and floatees next year with some real street cred.

Glad to know you're still around. For whatever reason, even though we live just a little way away, this is the only way we get to keep tabs on you. Keep us posted.

Is it the Smoot in my ward or does her sis teach pre school too? My niece Ava is in our Ms Smoots morning class and loves it!

Mark (not Sarah),
Yes that tractor is purely for show and never comes out of the garage except for rides!

Chandra,
Mason is in Kristin's afternoon class and he loves it. Her sister is in my ward. I told her we knew you guys.

Glad to see an update. I wish I could find time to update my own. I thought when my kids got older I would have more time to get things done. I was wrong.
