Who knew? Since we are outing our husbands, Brett plays the trumpet too. Although when I say "plays" I mean he did and one time, now it just sits in our garage.
Great job Andrew!! If I were to pull out my viola I know I wouldn't sound near as good as you did on your trumpet!! Carly walked in while I was listening and wanted to know who that white guy is?! What a goof- but she did recognize the song- she calls the olymics Darrell's show!
That is awesome that you can still blow into that thing and a descent sound still comes out.hehe I do not think it would sound as nice if I blew into my flute after all of these years. My hubby is still quite the trumpet player and now our son who is going into 6th grade wants to play the trumpet too. Now we need to blow the dust off of the case and pass it on to the next generation of trumpet players in our house. Again, it was so nice to meet your family and see you again after so many years. I love to blog so I will be checking in now and again.
Our ward has so many poeple in it with amazing hiden talents! Now we know who to call if our ward has any sort of "Olympic Games" of our own! Good job Andrew!!!
Okay, instead of adult Andrew sitting there, I immediately remember Jazz band and skinny teenager Andrew standing in the back trying to empty the spit on some unsuspecting person in front of him. Practice up a bit and you and Gary and Jason can put on the next Christmas Concert.

ok, couldn't leave this one alone. Honestly, it sounds more like a duck call. Hope it didn't smell like catfish bait!
I do remember that sound. He use to practice in the family room. We were in the "purple" bedroom. Nice though

Alan just gave Andrew's trumpet playing his stamp of approval. It was fun to get a good laugh! It is so great to see others hidden talents!
That just brought back so many memories! Now - clog & play the trumpet at the same time...that just might make me cry!
