Happy Birthday Mason Barry!!

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Mason
Happy Birthday to you!!

Our sweet Mason turns three years old today! He has grown up so much in the last few months and is such a big boy now in the way he acts and talks. Have you ever seen a cuter kid? The stage he is at right now is so much fun -the things Mason says and does everyday make me smile. I've said several times lately that if it were possible, I would freeze him at this age and keep him that way for the rest of his life. As we celebrate him today I want to share pictures and more about our Mason Barry.

Zachary was 4 1/2 years old when Mason was born. I wondered for a long time if we would be able to have more children. I was so overjoyed when I found out I was expecting him.

Mason couldn't wait to join our family - as you all remember, my water broke during my baby shower!

Mason was born 3 weeks early and had a rough first 2 weeks. He had a bad case of jaundice and had to be hospitalized for 3 days. It was awful leaving him there and I was so relieved when we could finally bring him home. It was such a welcome change to have a little baby in the house again to hold and play with.

From the very beginning Mason was a happy, content little baby. He was sleeping through the night by 8 weeks and loved his carseat. Taylor and Zach couldn't get enough of him.

This kid LOVED his binkies. He had one with him everywhere he went and cried for them in the middle of the night if he couldn't find it in his crib.

Mason has the biggest, most expressive eyes I've ever seen. His long, beautiful eyelashes would make any grown woman jealous.

Mason actually loves having his picture taken (except for christmas card photos) and will say "cheese" every time you get the camera out.

Mason has such a content, easy-going personality. He becomes more independent every day and insists on doing things himself.

Mason has always enjoyed going into everyone's closet and dressing up in their clothes. He has come up with some funny outfits. One problem though is that 99% of the time when getting dressed, he puts the clothes on backwards. One time a few months ago I said to him, "Mason, your clothes are on backwards." He looked down at himself and quickly responded, "That's the way my like them!!"

Some of Mason's favorites are Thomas the Train, Lightning McQueen, and watching Calliou on TV. He would eat fruit snacks and chicken nuggets all day if I would let him. Mason likes playing with trains and cars on the kitchen floor, but loves it when he gets a turn to play with Taylor or Zach's Nintendo DS.

His vocabulary cracks me up: He refers to all cereal as 'breakfast.' My car is 'Mommy's go', and underpants are 'wonderpants.' (Maybe they give him superpowers!)

We can't imagine life without our little Mason Barry. He keeps us laughing everyday and we love this little guy so much.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY!!

What a cute bug! I love the lashes - they drive me crazy! All your boys are destined to be lady killers. Isn't it in their blood?!

This is so pathetic, but I have never seen your last two children. I am passing the blame onto you. Next time you HAVE to call when you come into your mom's.
