With the theme of kitchen this week, I thought of what kind of twist I could take on it. But I realized that just a picture of my kitchen is appropriate today because after tomorrow, it will no longer look like this.
For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you know that we recently repainted and rearranged 3 bedrooms for the kids. My husband's talented cousin Mike came over and did the painting job for us. The rooms turned out so nice and I loved the difference the new paint colors made. It got me wishing we could repaint the main areas of the house as well. All the main areas are painted the tannish brown color you see in the upper left of the picture above. It's decent and it's a good neutral......but it's the same color we had in our old house and frankly we are sick of all the brown and ready for a change. I showed Mike the color I wanted for the kitchen/family room. He thought it would look great with the cabinets and backsplash. He suggested just painting the kitchen and family room for now and seeing how I like it before proceeding with the rest of the house.
So starting tomorrow morning, goodbye boring tan brown, hello Rainwater!! Can't wait to see the difference.

Yes, post a picture. I love your kitchen just the way it is, but then, I don't look at it everyday. The bedrooms look great, and I'm betting that Rainwater is going to make you happy to be in your kitchen again.
Oh, you must post an after photo with the new paint on the walls! Your kitchen is so pretty. I love the cabinets and the granite.

It's amazing what some new paint can do! We just painted. Went from dark olive green to a light yellow. So much better!

Wow...your kitchen is like my dream kitchen, should be on HGTV or something! I love the brick on the back of the cabinets. I am trying to convince my husband for a back splash. Beautiful cabinets, I am jealous :)
