Linked 52 | Week 13 - Planning

I am a planner.  I like everything thought out and put together.  I like to know as much information ahead of time as possible.  I'm always planning - always looking ahead and figuring out things so there's no surprises.  I make lists, input everything I can into my calendar, I set reminders, and double check everything.  Even this blog post I planned days ago with what to say, what pictures to take, etc.  I do not do well with last minute, spontaneous, fly by the seat of my pants.

Well, what's that saying: The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry?  That definitely happened to me this week - how fitting that it happened on the week where the theme was Planning!  I had lots of plans for this week, mostly in preparation for Spring Break and going out of town.  But no matter how hard I try to plan my life, sometimes things happen that I don't plan for.  I didn't plan on my daughter coming home sick from school on Monday.  I didn't plan for my daughter's science teacher to assign them a solar system model project to complete in 3 days.  I didn't plan for my oldest son to fall at scouts last night which resulted in a fracture of his pinky.  All these things put a big wrench in my plans this week.  It makes me stressed and frantic, but they happened and I dealt with them.  As much as I hate it, sometimes I have to roll with the punches!

I hear you about rolling with the punches, though it's way easier when everyone just sticks to crossing off the stuff on the list. :) Have a great weekend!

When I do plan, it seems it always goes wrong. HA! That said, I still think it's good to plan (even though I don't do it.) I really wish I was on the planner side of this spectrum. :) Enjoy spring break!

I envy people that can make and stick to plan. I make several but then change them in mid stream. I do have to admit that my apple products have made me a tad bit better.
