December Daily - Day 16

1.  Andrew took today off of work.  He never takes a day off unless he's sick, traveling, or most importantly - going fishing or hunting.  Today it was hunting.  He went with his friend Nelson to go huntin' for coyotes north of town.  He left at 5:30 this morning and was home by 10:30am.  Not long at all.  They had fun but didn't shoot anything.  The best part was that we had him home with us for the rest of the day.  A rare treat.  Once the kids were home from school, Andrew and I were able to go out for a couple hours alone before our babysitter Taylor had to leave for a party.  It was a little over 2 hours, but it's amazing how that short time away from the kids can recharge us and give us a chance to talk without interruption. We had linner at Red Robin (late lunch + early dinner = linner)  and wrapped up Christmas shopping for the kids.  We got home, changed into jammies (before 7pm!!) and had movie night.  The boys watched The Smurfs in our room while Andrew and I watched The Help.  Great movie.  I haven't read the book, have any of you?  I'm craving fried chicken now, but I think I'm gonna steer clear of chocolate pies for a while.

2.  Have you ever discovered something really cool and wondered why you've never used it before??  Well that was me tonight with Picasa.  I know, I know - Picasa is old news to everyone but me.  I wanted to learn how to make photo collages and my friend Darci told me about Picasa weeks ago but never checked it out until tonight.  It uploaded all of the photos from the entire history of our blog.  I got looking through them and reminisced over pictures I haven't seen in so long.  So since I don't have much else to say, I thought we'd take a look at Christmas pictures through the years.

I LOVE Picasa! It seriously is the greatest tool.
And your kids! I can't believe how little they were. Taylor is so small and Tanner as a baby?! What?!? So. Cute.
