Ha!! Don't let that cute and innocent face fool you! After the last few weeks I have dubbed our little guy Tanner the Tornado. He leaves a path of destruction everywhere he goes. I know it comes with his age, but it seems he has been more of a destructive toddler than his 3 older siblings ever were. We can't contain this kid!! He is always making messes or causing property damage. Does anyone else have one certain child that is mischievous and into everything more than the rest? Tanner was such a peaceful, easygoing baby that maybe he's just starting to show his true personality. We have lived in this house for over 5 years with no problems and within a few short weeks he has ruined three sets of blinds. He is quick and if we don't catch him, watch out! I know if I'm in one part of the house and I hear one of the other kids yell, "No Tino!" then it's never a good sign. Just this morning I found him sitting on top of the kitchen table dumping out a small carton of orange juice all over himself (never mind that older sister was asked to watch him while I got dressed!)
Tino's favorite naughty things to do:
constantly climbing onto the kitchen table
spill drinks
help unload the dishwasher
take the lint screen out of the dryer
stand on the laser printer in the den and pull things off the computer table
pull DVDs out of the movie drawer
dial random phone numbers
pull his sister's hair
splash in the toilet
suck on markers and highlighters
turn off the TV while you're watching it
empty the garbage onto the floor
He keeps us on our toes around here, but it's impossible to get mad at him - he just flashes that adorable smile and gives me wet kisses on my cheek and all is forgiven! I just hope we can all survive this stage of his life. I'm dreading the day he learns how to open doors!!

Yes. Mine is Andrew. Like Tanner, he has the face of an angel. It's deceptive. Just today he emptied out my pattern drawer and pulled the patterns out of several envelopes. Frankly, those are now beyond hope of figuring out. Little stinkers. Good luck! Maybe they'll get all the mischief out of their system now... I hope!
Man, that is how I'm feeling. No matter how fast we are they are faster and smarter. You think you have fixed something so they can't mess with it anymore and they figure out a way that you never even thought of.
What a terror. He is a cutie tho. Good luck.
Why are the mess makers so darn cute??? I'm dreading the day Ella learns to open doors too.
Only Tanner did that? ALL four of my kids did every single one of the things on your list. Count your blessings. There is a reason the Lord sends them cute. They wouldn't survive otherwise:)
Well Erin, maybe I should clarify a little. My other 3 children were no angels, they were busy little toddlers too. It just seems Tanner is way more mischievious than they were. Either that or I just don't remember because it's been so many years since they were this age!
I've heard that the ones that give you the most trouble as toddlers are the best teenagers. Let's hope that's true.
Well if he can't open doors a padded room should do the trick. He is a cutie!
So funny-- we were just talking about our little tornado and that we should take a picture of every mess she makes in one day-- that would be a ton of pictures!!! I feel for ya!!
Why is it the sweet calm babies turn into these little tornadoes?! I can't decide if I want this baby to be a good abby, or a terror- seems like the good ones turn into terrors, the crying sad babies tend to calm down and be mellow around one- go figure!
oh my gosh i hope he terns into zack..... When do you guys go to disneyland.I cant wait too see that post......
I'm glad my kids aren't the only ones. Do your kind sit upside down in Sacrament meeting? We can't get Max, yep the 6 year old, to stop doing it. Just imagine how much fun/chaos it would be to lock all 8 of our kids in a room together:)
Sounds like my Owen. Such sweet loving toddlers one minute and the next demolition crew! What is a mother to do????
