I know this is starting to circulate in the blogsphere. After reading memories on some friends' blogs, I thought it would be quite amusing to hear what stories people share about us. I could use a good laugh and besides, who doesn't love taking a trip down memory lane, right? You can share memories of either me or Andrew or both - doesn't matter.
Here is a fun little game...Leave a comment on our blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
Can't wait to hear from everyone - even those of you who read this blog and never comment (you know who you are!!)

I was thinking of a funny memory I have about your family. This one is about Zach; you probably aren't even aware of it. It was a while back when he was in Nusery. He had just gotten his Insulin pump. He thought it was pretty cool. He was showing it to me and all the buttons on it. I was trying to have him put it back in his pocket so none of the other kids would try and play with it. He proceeded to pull down his pants and show me where it was "attached" to his butt. I wasn't expecting that at all. Jayden was just a little baby at the time and didn't have first hand experience that kids have no shame at that age - especially boys ;) I've had PLENTY of similar experiences since then.
I barely knew of you and got a call telling me that I was your VT and asking me to bring you some dinner because you had to go to the hospital. I was so scared for you knowing you had just had a little baby and a few others children. I am so glad everything is okay now.
My earliest memory of Andrew is singing with him in the Spring Fling in second grade. I think the song was "Rainbow Connection". Then, of course, third grade with Mrs. McNutt. She is still one of my favorite teachers. Do you remember the mock news program we did? Lots of fun.
Then we met Heidi when you were engaged and we went hiking at Red Rock. And all the times we would get together when you were in town from Utah. I think we saw each other more back then than now.
And the time we got together for dinner...oh, that's right, that hasn't happened yet.:) We'll figure out something soon.
You guys are great and I'm glad we have so many memories together.
Shalae - It makes me so proud as a mom to know my son was 'mooning' his leaders in Nursery! Thanks for sharing that cute story with me!
Ashley - that was a real tough time for me and you bringing dinner that night was such a welcome blessing - Thanks for being such a great VT, even if it was only for a few months!
Michelle - I do remember when we all went to Red Rock - I had forgotten about that. And yes, we will definitely get together soon even if it kills us!!
OK - this will be fun...but before I say anything I have to say that I don't remember Andrew asking me 'out' when I was 9! That made me laugh.
Well, my first memory of Andrew is from Kingergarten. I remember another little girl (who shall remain nameless) tried to lure him & Jason Thiriot into the big tires on the play ground. I just like to climb inside of them and hide, but I think we know what her motives were! I also remember walking home from school with him and playing after school every once in a while, unless I went to Heath's house. Good times. And of course singing, and clogging, and road shows, etc.
I don't remember the first time I met Heidi, but I do remember your wedding reception and seeing you in your wedding dress. I remember thinking that Andrew was lucky to trap such a great girl - that I thought of all the girls there that hated you because you were Andrew's wife. That still makes me laugh.
Leslie--I totally remember asking you "out." It was right after Melody Movers practice at CC Ronnow. I don't think we ever broke up though so we may still be going together. I also remember the tires. That is hilarious!
Michelle--it was the Rainbow Connection. We were like Sonny and Cher! I remember calling to talk to you on the phone and then end up talking to Wendy for hours.
I don't have any one particular memory but I have found that anytime I am at a church activity or party that you are at too, I know there is going to be a lot of laughs. When I get home from those "girl" events I always tell John what a great sence of humor you have, and John always agrees. A couple of years ago I also remember visiting teaching you and I was so sad when the routes changed and I no longer had you on my list (this was when the lists were changing every other month).
Oh the memories! Andrew and my brother, Jerry were really good friends so Andrew was around all the time. I could go on and on with memories, but let me think of one or two... My earliest memory of Andrew is probably Kindergarten. Me, him and Tangela Armstrong got to sit at the chick table together in Mrs. Mitchell's class. Another memory with Andrew (Heidi - sorry we have to bring up all these things but you know your husband was a HUGE playa) I remember him telling me to come into my brothers room to listen to a song on the radio - it was Chicgo's You're the Inspiration. I remeber in 5th or 6th grade when he buzzed his hair and I didn't like it. Then of course, Melody Movers, clogging, children's and youth chior, picking him up for early morning seminary, student council... LOTS OF FUN TIMES!
I think the first memory I have of Heidi is when Andrew sent me a letter when he was at BYU and sent a picture of him and Heidi together. I thought "wow she's really tall and pretty, good job Andrew." Then I met her when she came for his farewell. I always liked you.
This memory thing is fun.
Andrew - Kev made partner.
I remember coming over to your house for dinner. I remember it was really yummy, and we had a lot of fun! I also remember you came to our wedding. I think you only had one child! (Maaaybe two)!!!
I love this idea and I will add it to mine soon. I would have to say my best memory was how you ALWAYS smiled at me a church or waved as you went by on the street. I'm s shy person when it comes to getting to know someone one-on-one (kids I can do). You really helped my move into the ward (and come to find out neighborhood) a welcome transition. Thank you.
Eagle Valley Resorvoir. Splits. Need I say more?
Karen - you're so sweet. I thought for sure though that you would mention the memory of us at Normans for couples' night and John wacking Andrew repeatedly with a magazine! Now that was fun!!
Belinda - I know my hubby was a 'playa' back in the day. I love to hear these old stories though!
Steve - I know I will never live that down. So glad you guys were there to keep me from getting soaked! Good times.....
Let's see, memory of Andrew? Just one...dating his nephew in high school, just so I could get closer to Andrew! Guess the cats out of the bag now!
I also remember staying over night at your place in Provo one summer; I remember thinking that Heidi was so cool because she was a wife! Oh...and still do! :)
I remember your wedding and trying to get in as many pictures as I could. From what I hear, it worked!
My family and I always have a good laugh when ever we watch those Milli Vanilli videos that you made with us one Christmas. They are a classic at our house. The video did go into hiding for quite a while and no one knew where it was. Cannon had it hidden away. We had showed too many of his girlfriends. Him dressed up like a girl and singing to Tina Turner on high speed.
Andrew! Law, really? I really thought you were going to Pimp professionally or become a Dentist!
Most of my memories take place in Rancho's choir room. You were always picking your nose, debating with Melissa (just to make her mad), and playing the piano and singing very well. I remember you dating (briefly) Meagan Rosemeyer and I think Jerry was hoping to snag her best pal Sunshine! You guys were super funny!
Heidi, I have not had the pleasure of meeting you. I do remember Michelle and Gary telling me how much fun you are! Who knows maybe our paths will cross one day;)
PS Your children are GORGEOUS!
Erin Springall--do you have a blog? If so, let us see it! --Andrew

Warning! It's a pretty boring blog. I've just started and I'm back tracking to try to get a years worth of photos and journaling done. My plan is to have our blog made into a book yearly.
Anyhoo, I have enjoyed reading your blog! I also agree with you about Dumb and Dumber being the BEST movie ever! LOL I was raised with all boys;) SO even though I have not met Heidi I feel like I've known her for years!
somebody raised their ugly head again. I don't get the memory thing, but did I ever send you the story about the Teacher who mooned the Relief Society President? Better watch out guys
Heidi, I'm sure you can guess mine...it has to do with milli-vanilli, some fake glasses and a white dress with pink polka dots. I have a lot of fun memories of you visiting Utah when I was growing up. I pretty much worshiped you and thought you were so pretty and so funny and soooooo cool. I remember telling my friends that my cousin was a cheerleader and I wore all your hand-me-downs with pride.
p.s. your kids are so freakin cute! and how cute is your dad on that tractor?
-crap, I just saw that darcie stole my memory! Now I need to leave a new one.....I remember your wedding. I was so excited to go because I'd never traveled to a wedding before. I remember you were so pretty and you were everything I thought a bride should be. And I specifically remember thinking about how lucky Andrew was because you were so funny. -got that Andrew??? don't you forget it! ;- )
Andrew, I remember one time when you came over and were jumping on the trampoline with Gary & I and probably other kids. We were playing some game and something happened, but we collided chins. My whole chin was crazy black & blue and swollen and I think yours was really bad too. That night we had a MM performance and I was crying because even though my mom put TONS of cover-up make-up on me, it was literally black/purple. That night all you had was a tiny little bruise that no one could really see.
Heidi, I remember being excited to go to your wedding because I had just received my mission call a couple days before and so I got my recommend and went through the temple the night before and was able to be there at your sealing. I also remember that Pres. Dixon was able to perform his first sealing with you and Andrew that day.
Andrew, I don't know if you remember me or not formerly know as Stephanie Vandeventer. I was really good friends with Tiffany Thompson in high school. Anyway, I was looking at a friends blog and I came across your blog. I am not sure if you even know that I have been in your oldest brothers ward for 3 1/2 years. I was not a member in high school but I got baptized in 1992 and married in the temple in 1994. Anyway, your wife seems so sweet and your children so beautiful. Just thought I would send a quick note and thought this was an appropriate post to do it on since it was for "memories". My memory keeps fading as I get older so the only memory I can remember is we had chemistry class together your junior year & my senior year. Not too exciting except that Kristy girl liked you I think:), but I think all of the girls had a crush on you right? Nice to run into you on the Blog line. Take care.
I have a vivid memory of Heidi practicing "China" by Tori Amos in our apartment....repeatedly. I forgot what you were practicing it for though. Anyway, I didn't mind it, cause you rocked! I didn't know who Tori Amos was before, so thanks for the exposure. It is still one of my favorite albums.
