I have to respond to my nephew's "tag" or I'll have bad luck for 3 weeks or something. So here goes:
What I was doing 10 years ago: October 1997. Heidi and I had been married 1.5 years and I was still relatively skinny (probably about 165 lbs--that's about 60 less than now!). We lived in Provo (just 1/2 block south of the Provo City cemetary) in a twin home (which we really loved). I was attending the BYU football games every Saturday and finally realizing that I did not like biology and wouldn't be going to dental school as I had planned most of my life, so I was searching for a new major other than zoology.
Five years ago: October 2002. Well into my last year of law school and with a job offer in hand, not caring much about grades or going to class. I forced myself to go, though it was tough. We were living in my parent's house, mostly upstairs, which was hard on all of us and I'm sure particularly hard on my parents. I wish we didn't have to do that, but we had no other options.
One year ago: October 2006. Working at Beckley Singleton and pretty much wondering when an opportunity would come along to get away from the "big firm" life. I was frustrated with what I was doing, although I generally liked my practice. I just felt like there was something on the horizon, but I didn't know exactly what it was.
Yesterday: Watched conference. Went to look at a house in Anthem Highlands (I want to move, but Heidi does not). Truthfully, I understand her concerns for the kids' sake, but I can't live here forever. Went to the Priesthood Session. Came home and fell asleep on the couch.
5 Things I Would Do If I Suddenly Had $100 Million: Quit work immediately. Apply for the Forest Service. Take a trip around the world with my family. Buy a nice cabin on Navajo Lake. Buy a winter vacation home in Vina Del Mar, Chile (when it's winter here, it's summer there).
5 Locations I Would Like To Run Away To: Navajo Lake. Vina Del Mar, Chile. New York City. Sea World. New England during fall foliage.
5 Bad Habits I Have: Procrastination. Criticism. Too much fast food. Procrastination. Procrastination.
5 Things I Like Doing: Watching football. Fishing. Hunting. Playing ball with my kids. Relaxing.
5 Biggest Joys At The Moment: Heidi, Taylor, Zachary, Mason and ________!

it's ok. you can say it, even though some scarce times are on the horizon for you with the new baby coming.....
No moving!!! I am with Heidi. Unless it is to a new house in our ward NO WAY!!!
Hey Heidi, I got her cake at Baskin Robins. Yumm-o
I'm glad you got your new firm but the drive across town is just what you need. All that time to think about life all by yourself.
Lani--I didn't understand a thing you just said. Do the chickens have large talons? --Andrew
