This is Tanner Andrew Dixon. We struggled for 2 days with a name and agreed this is the best one. He is absolutely perfect and such a sweet little thing. He's got light brown hair and blue eyes and the longest fingers and toes. He doesn't really look like any of the other kids, and we are so glad he's finally here.
I just wanted to give you all a quick update on us. Tanner and I were finally released from the hospital and came home late Friday afternoon. We are both doing well and the baby is definitely sleeping alot more than I am. I'm not gonna lie to you---this was by far my hardest delivery and I feel like I have been beat up. I'm really sore and having alot of back pain, but I'm so glad that it's over with. I am so grateful for modern medicine and for all the care the sweet nurses gave me during my delivery---I had a couple of "freak out" moments and I'm so blessed to have such a loving supportive husband who stood by me thru it all. I have a little correction to Andrew's previous post--I had a placenta abruption, not rupture. After the delivery and putting the pieces of the "puzzle" together, my doctor believes that is what caused the unusual pain because all the blood was collecting behind the placenta instead of bleeding out. My doctor told me that it was a very good thing that I came into the hospital that day---it could have been worse.
Tanner is a very good natured baby and loves to be held. The kids love to hold him, but the jury is still out on Mason's reaction to him. Mason pretty much ignores him most of the time, but once in a while will come over and want to hold him or give him his milk. But Mason is now a GIANT compared to Tanner and became this big kid overnight!!
I will post more pictures another time. I should enlist the help of Jill Johnson to come and do a proper baby photo shoot!!
Thanks for all the visits and phone calls and well wishes!!

thank goodness you didn't go with "porter potty" dixon. Stephen was a good name too, but alas....congrats!
He is beautiful!!! Congratulations!
Congratulations again! He is beautiful! It is funny how you can tell that he doesn't look like the others because right away I thought, "that is a Dixon!" I am glad he is sleeping well for you so far and that you are both home and feeling pretty good!
He is so cute!!! I am going to Utah for the weekend so next week we can do pics one day. Just let me know. I am so excited for you.
Congratulations! I agree with the others that he looks like a Dixon. He is very cute. And the kids seem excited for a new baby. I am sorry that it was a hard delivery for you. I hope you start feeling better.
I love the name!!! Congratulations. We can't wait to see him.

He's adorable! Glad to hear things are going well, and hopefully the recovery will be quick and easy for you! I love the name Tanner. I should have just posted all my boy names in my family- since there's like 30+ boy's (remember I'm the 10th kid), of course we have a Tanner.
