December Daily - Day 18

1.  Due to vacations and sickness, I found out about an hour and a half before church that I was going to be flying solo in Primary today.  Panic set in.  Major stress levels.  At first I considered crawling back into bed.  Then I thought about asking the bishop to cancel Primary for the day.   But I prayed for strength and headed to church to face this challenge head on.  Luckily the Primary President arranged for some backup so I wasn't alone.  A HUGE shout out to Stacey for her help today - no way I could've managed without her.  There were some bumps in the road, but I survived. I hope it never happens again!

2.  Took a much needed nap this afternoon.  But sure enough I still got the dreaded Sunday headache.  Someone really needs to come up with a cure for that.  I don't know why I always get them on Sunday.

3.  I'm so glad there's no school tomorrow.  Or the next day.  We need some lazy days to regroup and get ready for Christmas and try to get some projects done.  I'm sure by Wednesday though I'll be wishing there was school and try to convince Andrew to take the kids with him to work.......

4.  Taylor and some other youth in our ward performed with their string instruments in Sacrament today. They did O Come, O Come Emmanuel.  Sounded so pretty.  I think they should do it more often.

5.  Any suggestions for something quick and easy to serve for Christmas dinner?  I'd love to go all out, but we leave early the next morning on a trip and I don't want to worry about lots of leftovers or wasted food.  Soup is out of the question since that is Christmas Eve's menu.  I was thinking finger foods.  My boys suggested pancakes.  Any bright ideas??

Ah, you are so kind. It was my pleasure to help out. Just do a crock pot ham and baked potatos. Nice and easy.
