After 2 days of trying to get things done around the house with all 4 kids around proved hopeless, I was a little relieved when a change in our weekend plans meant Andrew, Zach and Taylor taking off for a quick trip on Friday to Cedar City. The main purpose of the trip - for Andrew to help his nephew Steve work on the deck of his in-laws' cabin. Uncle Mark invited Taylor along so she could play with cousin Helen. Of course it wasn't all work and no play -- there was 4 wheeler rides and a trip over to Panguitch Lake to sneak in a few hours of fishing. I was told the fishing trip proved very successful with Zach catching 2 fish all by himself and Andrew hooking a nice Rainbow Trout:
While they frolicked in the crisp mountain air, I thoroughly enjoyed much peace and quiet for the 29 hours I was home alone with Mason and Tanner. They slept a lot and I got so much done around the house, finally catching up on my laundry (with help from my mother in law) and watching some movies I've been waiting to see. After 2 busy weeks and lots of rearranging upstairs, it felt so nice to finally get this place put back together.
This weekend gave us all a little recharge in our batteries and it was just what we needed.

I love your new lay-out. Your weekend sounds fun. Hayden is very tall. She is the tallest in her class. The 12 year old I hired for the summer,(to babysit her) is actually shorter than Hayden, I thot it was kinda funny. I don't know how you keep up on your blog so well. I struggle. Where is you beach vacation going to be?

Hmmmmm...... Where can I send my husband and kids for a weekend to get some things done? I'll have to think about that one. Glad you got to watch a few movies.
Your blog looks good. I am glad you got some peace and quiet. That sounds opposite my weekend. I need a weekend like yours.
This makes me want to go 4-wheeling in Cannonville and gives me a hankerin for pizza in Tropic. I love that part of UT! It looks like they had fun.
What am I thinking! I am giving Aaron that week. He will be home alone no kids peace and quiet for almost 2 weeks. Lucky!!
You're one brave woman to let Andrew watch the kids in the wilderness. We all know men watch the kids 20% of what us protective moms do. It is easier as they get old though. Glad they returned in one piece. Blog looks nice and summery. Doesn't it feel great to get things accomplished around the house AND have some time to relax?
man, i almost fell asleep reading this again for the 5th time. UPDATE PLEASE!!!!!
Too good! I remember taking my boys fishing when they were little. We didn't catch a thing but made some great memories.
