Like everyone else out in blogsphere, I intended to do a year end review, my resolutions for 2008, etc. post. Now that it's the 4th day of the new year, it seems kinda silly to do a yearly review this late so......I will simply look ahead to the new year and what I hope to accomplish.
Now, in an attempt to keep you all from thinking how pathetic my life is (some of you may already have this opinion) I won't tell you ALL the goals I have for the year. I know there are a lot of things I need to work on. Instead I wanted to go beyond the everyday resolutions that are the same as everybody else and think of things that are more tailored to my life. So I've been thinking this week and here are some things I've come up with:
Getting to bed at a decent hour and actually making it to my bed instead of falling asleep on the couch holding the baby
Making sense out of our den and turning it into a more useable, workable space
Teaching our children more
Learn a new skill
Travel somewhere that requires a plane ticket and hotel stay
Apply for and get our passports (in case the need to quickly leave the country arises)
Hire babysitters more often to spend more alone time with my husband
Make the time to use my large scrapbook stash and preserve those memories for my children
Take our kids to Disneyland again
Spend more time developing my photography skills and take more pictures
Strengthen my relationships and strive to be a better wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend
Find more reasons to smile
Make it to church on time at our new 9am time slot (after years of going at 1pm)
Move our 2 year old out of our bedroom
I could go on and on, but I won't bore you anymore. Nobody can predict the future and of course nobody's perfect, but I hope come December I can look back on this blog post and proudly say I accomplished most if not all of these things. I also want to have a better blog in 2008, which requires some help from all of you. If you are reading our blog don't be shy - leave a comment. We love to see who's stopping by (besides, I know there are more of you out there reading our blog because blog patrol tells me so!!) We would also love any ideas or suggestions for things to blog about....it's hard for me to come up with things to talk about sometimes!
Hopefully 2008 will be a terrific year for all of us!!

You funny girl. More reasons to smile huh? You are the reason most people smile more. Your vacation that includes plane tickets and hotel reservations-good idea. Utah doesn't count.
I forgot to tell you, check out youshouldgetapictureofthat.blogspot.com She is really good, I am going to have her do my family pics in the spring. She had good ideas.
Good luck! I am sooo happy that our church is now at 11 am. We've been at 9 am for...like 3 years or something. It will be nice to make it on time now. =D
We moved here an dhad 11:00 church, then in August we switched to 12:00, and this August we get 2:00- I am can't wait for 9:00 church!!! I'm so jealous!
