Tomatoes Here I Come!

I can hardly wait!!! We are heading up to Utah this weekend for one last hoorah before the end of the summer, which means only a few more days before I can indulge in all the delicious vegetables from my dad's garden. This picture is a sampling of last year's bounty. My mouth is watering!!! The tomato sandwiches, crunchy peppers, and sliced cucumbers with a little salt and pepper. Hopefully my brother in law Matt will be making some of his delicious salsa--so good!! Maybe we'll have time to make some batches of chili sauce as well. (Okay, so I'm a little hungry right now!) We need to pack light so there's lots of room in the back of the car for boxes of veggies! I'm taking orders if anyone in Vegas wants me to bring them some!!
Another thing I'm really happy about right now---the cleaning lady came today. I will take a deep breath and enjoy my spotless house that will remain so for about 10 more minutes---then I will turn into crazy lady and drive my family nuts trying to keep it clean everyday!!
Another thing I'm really NOT happy about right now---I failed my pregnancy glucose test, so now I have to do the 3 hour one, which means getting my blood drawn 4 times and fasting for about 12-14 hours, while hanging around the lab at the dr's office. This happened with Mason's pregnancy too and it was the worst experience. I felt so lousy by the end of the 3 hours and it's no wonder---they told me later that the final blood draw showed my blood sugar had dropped down to 59!! Now I know exactly how Zachary feels when he's low--it is a really weird feeling. On the bright side though, I will have some really good looking bruises on my arms from all the needle pokes!

I am soooooo jealous about the tomatoes. Love them. I am headed up there too. Maybe Aaron and Andrew will fly home together again.

How do you get such big tomatoes? This is carter and all my mom gets is a bunch of weeds and a few really small tomatoes and strawberries.

I am leaving Friday for Utah. I am coming back Thurs morning. Aaron never plans far enough in advance to actually know what flight he is on, it is more like, "I think I will leave tonight". So we hurry and find a flight. It is usually that sun night flight. So maybe.
